Dear H.E. Koeut Rith,

It has come to my attention that Mother Nature Cambodia activists were released from arbitrary detention on November 12, 2021. However, these individuals, among many others, still face ongoing investigations and judicial harassment. While international human rights and democracy standards protect free expression, current Cambodian legislation is silencing our people’s voices and robbing them of their basic human rights.

I urge you to immediately close all investigations against Mother Nature Cambodia, and I urge you to allow activists to freely exercise their human rights, as guaranteed by numerous international treaties, and democracy and human rights standards. In doing so, you will acknowledge that freedom of expression and the right to assembly is only in Cambodia’s best interest. This will help shape a country towards having international human rights and democracy standards, and better positioning Cambodia on the global stage.

Sincerely,
[Your Name]
